Maybe you should call customer support or get a new one.

oh wait ....ive got the solution...

DUCT TAPE

that always works

hold the battery in hard with your hands and shake it, if it messes up while you are holding it, its on the inside if not then let us know. make sure you aren't just accidentally hitting the power button because i do a lot with mine

see, its like.....it moves around on the inside or its got a bad connection. i can pull the battery pack "off" without actually taking it off, and without pushing the button....=[....

i tried that, and it didnt turn off.

yeaaaaaaaaah, aint happenin' you know how many times ive opened up my psp? too many to count for...

just put something between the battery cover and the battery to hold it in place

Stuff something between the battery. In my camera the connection is loose so I stuff a piece of paper there. You can try that with your battery.
But im not sure I understood the problem. Is your battery loose (Which means that it falls off from the PSP) or the battery fits perfectly but the connection is not there?
If its the first one try the method I suggested or else you might have to buy a new battery or something. (But make sure that you try out another battery to see if its a problem with your PSP)

its not falling out, but i can shake the battery around (if i dont hold it in place) and the connection is lost....like the battery cover can slip left and right, but not come OFF.

Fold up a small piece of paper and jam it between the battery and the side of the psp...it'll hold the battery in place.

Peace.

its actually not the battery itself, its the battery cover
it keeps sliding to the right which loosens the battery

stick something between the battery and cover (chances folded paper idea) so that you have to apply a bit of presure to put the cover on... the paper should keep it 'jammed' shut

or just buy a new battery cover from ebay

ahh, ill try that when im done m0dding my psp's analog stick....then if it doesnt work ill use Alucards idea
lol

alright, well i tried it, and it worked, hopefully it stays that way
