I just got it and played through the level, and it is really incredible. Aside from less sharp graphics overall, it looks great. The play is smooth and similar enough to the original. I had heard that managing the magic, block, and evade was difficult, since they all use the shoulder buttons, but I didn't have a problem with it at all.

You get to play two minibosses (I guess). The first is the basilisk seen in the screenshots. The presentation for it is great. You think you're supposed to be "O" tapping to open a door, when suddenly a cyclops bursts through it and you think you're in for a big fight. Then the basilisk sticks its head in and eats the cyclops. Had me going, anyway. The fight is not that hard, with the timed button press at the end. Then some more fighting and platforming until you get to the second miniboss, the Persian bruiser with the big sword. You fight him, another timed button press sequence, and then you take him out viciously. I won't tell you how - you have to see it. Then you get his spirit for your "efreet" magic.

All in all, I'm impressed. I was getting a little annoyed with some of the games that were coming out for PSP, but with this coming, and SF:LS and the new SW Battlefront, I think it's looking better.

that's excellent to hear

I've suddenly got this twitch to play games right now, I'm looking to get my fix on a new game soon.

I got that demo too, I signed up for it like 6 months ago !!!!! Anyway, never played a GOW game before and I must say, I was amazed. This is the first game that I have gotten really excited about for the PSP in a LONG time. It handles perfectly and the camera doesnt get in the way once, I have literally played the demo probably 15 times now, I love it. I would recommend it to just about anyone ( over the age of......... 15 or so for the demo, my 12 year old brother loved it, for the actual game though, probably 17 and up).

dammit im still waiting for my demo!!!!
