I've pre-ordered madden as well. I like that fantasy draft is coming back, I like that hurdles are back, I like that they've (supposedly) fixed SS mode cameras, and I like the idea of 'weapons'.
Hello everyone, I'm new here. But I'd like to blog about something other than a introductory blog, but a subject you all may definitely find familiar on this website, and that is gaming.
Now as you may not know, I currently own a Xbox360 (bought around January of '06), and I have an assortment of games available to me to play. Like for example: Forza Motersport 2, Saints Row, and my personal favorite, Madden '07.
Recently (as in late April), EA Sports announced their new release in the Madden NFL series, Madden '08, which is the eighteenth installment in the Madden NFL series to date.
For me, I already pre-ordered it about two days ago. I already anticipate the arrival of the new game, reading game reviews, watching trailers, and looking at the screenshots that had been taken and posted on sites such as IGN. I am currently happy with what I ordered, as the gamer reviews for the Madden '08 says that the game is going to be great.
After reading up on some reviews, I saw that the game had fixed some major errors in the gameplay. Like for example, when you're playing Superstar HB mode, the camera was way to close to the ball carrier. Now, the people at EA pulled back the camera, making a more comfortable feeling when carrying the ball with your superstar.
They also brung back the original Franchise mode, with the creating your own stadium and firing coaches, etc, etc.
They also included icons that mark a certain football star and what he is known for, which would be extremely helpful during online play.
On another footballing note, I've read up on a so called myth called the "Madden Curse." It says that every single player who appeared on any of the Madden NFL game covers ends up in an injury, has a horrible season, or even retirement (Barry Sanders). I myself, is a big Vince Young fan and hopefully, he won't continue this curse, and break the streak.
Anyway, I just hope Madden '08 lives up to expectations.
