ok dudes an dudettes,..lol
wen i was a wee little lad back in the 80's, i remember my first arcade experience. i was going to the laundromat with my moms, and after i helped her put the clothes in the washer, i noticed a cool looking arcade machine with a steering wheel. i looked at the wheel and it literally had a button which employed actions for the car.. i was fascinated that the arcade had a pedal. it was my first arcacde.... well u should already know what game this is..... none other than Spy Hunter! well to make a long story short i wasted about 20 dollars in quarters, which back then was my allowance in the 80's that was loot...lol i couldnt remeber wasting so much money in on place as a youth (which i eventually spent even more dollars on Street Fighter..LOL) i was a gamer from then on, and from there the rest was history. lets hear some stories about ur first arcade experience!

I mean the small ones, with the 8 bit games. The original coin-op games. My family would travel and camp a lot and almost every campground had an arcade. Or there was go-carts near by with an arcade. I loved it.
My Dad, in his late 60's, is still a gamer (He got 100% on vice city before I did).. PC gamer now, playing counter strike or some FPS like that. He would take me to arcades and we would play games and it was nice. So I guess I have all of it to owe to him.
My little brother just got a PS3 so now we can play again. In the late PS2 era, he turned to PC gaming, so we havent had any common ground till recently.
Lol... I didnt realize the post was from you Chance. We're both from that era. "
btw olskoolgamer is the owner of this post, and yes im 29, so we both olskool dude...lol

didnt really go to the arcade that much. i do remember going a few times but i can barely even remember it. i was really more into console gaming especially when me and my brother got a Ps1. I recall playing pacman and crash bandicoot. Sometimes today i still go to the arcade but i still prefer having my own console at home than arcade machines.

well it was a while ago but i remember my first was space invaders. it was at a resturant.....god it was so long ago. I think I was like 6 or 7 but after wasting 5.00 on it I was hooked.....as soon as the local mall had an arcade and there was a local putt putt golf and games I was gone every weekend....5- to 10 dollars everytime. god those were the days. it was like a gamers social. now everyone is at home and the arcade is dying. kinda sad. I will miss those days.

*sigh* the golden years. I used to spent hours and hours in the arcades. We actually had quite a few. I remember if you wanted to play the latest video games you HAD to go to the arcade. Consoles would get 'em about a year later. Centipede will forever be my favorite - I loved the track ball control.
