Just hit a few shops asking about the pre-order situation here in Canada and it's grim. Everyone's telling me that only ebGames got about 5-8 units PER store. That's pathetic. What're they thinking?

Im gonna wait till christmas or somethign when the rush is over then I can SAFELY walk to Besybuy or Futureshop and get a PS3

Yeah, I feel the same now. I'd rather wait it out and just walk in casually. And it's nice to have a bit of time to hear about any potential issues (ie, burning 360 DVD's and heat issues).

Yea waiting is better than going throught the hassle of getting one at launch. Besides there might be some early launch defects or somthing that might turn up.

Well you can think about it like this. 1million at launch 4 million by the end of the year. that makes 3 million more by the end of the year, around christmas time. Nintendo said there gonna be releasing Wii's at a steady pace. 6 weeks from launch to christmas. That makes about 5 weeks of possible shippings. So about 600,000 wiis per week. Estimate.

I think they changed it to 6 million units over the first fiscal year. Nov. to nov. so there might only be one more shipment before cristmas.

It'll be a lot less stressful too, to just walk into a store and pick one up. I can't pre order a PS3 yet, but have my Wii pre ordered.
