can somebody define the word 'fanboy' for me. Aaron11 called mattydd a fanboy because he said the wii is cr@p (or whatever)...i personally wont be getting the wii myself for many reasons and im pretty dedicated to sony...i would get a 360 but i cant play my old ps1/ps2 games on that now can i...so sony ps3 is the one for me....does this make me a fanboy?

A fanboy isn't always an insult. It could be good to. If you prefer the PS3 over the Wii that could mean you're a fanboy, but that's only if you love the PS3 so much that you wouldn't get any other system. I just called mattyd an insult kind of fanboy because ifhe thinks the Wii sucks, than he must like a system alot!

The reason why fanboy is generally an insult, is that the user of the word indirectly/directly is insinuating that the "fanboy" in question is an ignorant fool for not liking the system the user of the term likes.. or for simply not liking it, the "fanboy" is ignorant..

I think calling someone a fan is fairly harmless, it is a declaritive statement.... add "boy" to that and it's belittling.

i did not know there was a law of how to post... the wii sucks. simple. graphics = = = = PS2
nintendo should have gone years ago. they are trying to compete with the big boys. Your kinda nosey about why i hate the Wii. I do, so what. So do MANY, MANY, MANY other people. All it is, is a eye toy practicually. So i dont see why quite a few people are saying: its interactive.

ITS AN EYETOY. nintendo even stole the console idea, from an old classic console.

ok mattyd. I guess you can't think of anything. You have brainwashed that the Wii sucks, but you can't even tell my why. And yes, I did ask nicely, so I guess you just think it sucks but can't think of anything that's bad about (in your opinion). Dude, just to let you know, the wii controller has nothing to do with eye toy. If you really want to know where Nintendo got the wii idea from, they got it from arcade games. Nothing to do with Sony. I should be saying sony copied off of MS and Nintendo, but I'm not. Hell, i could even say that all the gaming companies copied off of Atari, but I won't. You know why? It's stupid. That's how companies get their ideas, from seeing what the compatition has to offer. Dude, don't compare the graphics. Wii is about fun, not graphics. How come some of you Sony fanboys have to just compare graphics? What's your problem? I think graphics are cool, but guess what, I want to have fun when I play video games. Honestly, I don't care about graphics. That why us Nintendo fanboys want the Wii, am I right?

nintendo is not one of the first companies to make games. they were the first one to distribute the Magnavox Odyssey in Japan, which it did in 1975

i dont get you wii fans when you say that. all you guys say is Wii is about fun, not graphics. but just bcause the ps3 and 360 has good graphics,that doesn't mean there not fun. the 360 and ps3 are about having fun and they give you good graphics. playing the wii is about playing something different and having a different Experience. the 'fun' is up to the person playing, not because a company says so.

This is correct, the 1889 number. If i'm not mistaken they did card games as well as various other games, including pachinko and random other games they have/had in japan.. I believe they started making what would then be considered video games in the 70's. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
