and the guy i bought it from sold it to me for 60 bucks. Its one of the first 80 gigs so its backwards compatible kinda ish.
but it freezes up randomly...
any suggestions?

I bought a fan for it, 19 blade whisper fan, thinking its overheating.
And it worked for about a week, then died.
I applied Thermal paste and cleaned off the old stuff from the Synthesizer, and the Broadband engine.
Anyone have any suggestions?
The only 2 things left are the power supply, or a new HDD.
My dad thinks its the HD
i think its the power supply.

Well if it does not turn it self on I would place my money on the power supply.
If it seems to get power on, like lights turning on then it might be the HDD

(I have no PS3 so this is just ideas ok?

It turns on, I got YLOD, and I Kind of fixed it, by replacing the fan. Very odd..
Im gonna get a box and send it in to sony, so they can send me a new system. even if i took it apart and stuff, i think i could talk them into if i give the $150 that they'll take it.

my ps3 keeps on freezin on all my games so i replaced the laser and its made no difference, blu ray dvd's won't even show up on the main screen. do u have any suggestions?
