I am attending Vincennes University where they have wireless networks on campus and also in each of the dorms. But I have decided to use a Ethernet cable to connect to the PlayStation Network so I can play online gaming. The way they have it setup in the rooms is that they have a port in the wall where we can connect our Ethernet cable to either our computer or gaming console. So I connected my Ethernet cable to port and to my system, then I set it up so that I have a wired connection for my Playstation Network. My first question is that it keeps on asking me if I want to use a proxy or not, so do I need to use one in my situation and if I do what do I need to put in the two blanks. I keeping on choosing to not use the proxy and when it comes time to test the connection it can obtain the IP address but not the internet connection because of error 80028EA8. What is this error involve and how can I fix this so I can set up my PlayStation Network account and play some of my games online. I appreciate all ideas and ways to fix this problem.
