k. I challenge you to help me solve this problem!

I have recently moved to a Student Home and can't connect my PS3 to the internet. I get "succeded" on IP address and Internet Connection. But "Failed" on Playstation Network, I get "Failed" on NAT Type also.

The thing is that gaming online ain't allowed on this network. I Don't know why, because everyone living here is over 20 years old! So that is kind of silly. I really need the chat function to be able to talk with my foreign friends and family also...

When I connect my PC to the network I have to do a synchronization in my browser (type in user-id and password) to be able to surf the Internet. I also did this on my PS3 Internet Browser. But I can't connect to the PSN in any way!

Oh. The error code I get is: 8002AD3D

So I beg you to please help me be able to get online again. Forever thankful! Anyone up for the challenge?

No challenge to be had, your school provided internet blocks the ports used by gaming systems most likely. Nothing you can do.

get on a computer tied to the network, go to the command prompt, type in ipconfig/all. find where it says default gateway. type the ip in the internet browser's url. it should come up with a page asking for a login and password. by now, you should know the routers brand.. exe.-linksys, motorola... go to google and type in the router brand and login and password like this: (linksys router default login and password) you'll find a page that has your routers default password and everything.

hopefully, your school or whatever hasn't changed the default password... cause if they did, then all this will be a waste of time. once your in the router settings page, look around and see if you can unblock the ports.
