I started playing MGS4 tonight and for the past 3 and half hours I spent about a third of the time on cut scenes. I must admit pretty epic to have every cutscene in-game and at length. I didn't put the control down for the longest time (even during the second install of the game.)
There are also alot of cool things you can do during a cutscene, such as use the control to turn on the static flashbacks and moving the little Mark 2 that was so highly advertised. I was really rather hoping the PSP was an option to control the Mark 2. One thing I find quite impressive is how the commercial's actually tie-in and make sense. These commercial's are war propaganda after all and truly add the many dimensions to Hideo's visions for this game (taking in all perspectives).
If these things are over your head, don't worry, you might too young to understand. That is why this game is rated Mature and the audience is specifically targeted for the adult-ish.
One thing I was kind of annoyed of was the loading, which happened more than once everytime you left an area. But for compromise of how well made the environment, lighting, and Snake's camo suit was done, this can be forgiven.
There is no need to spoil any details on anyone. Once you see the game for yourself it will be fairly obvious as to why Kojima was rather hoping he had more space on the game disc. In all honesty for the look of everything that he put together for this game 3 and half years is too early. The production value of the game is ginormous and I think he would have wanted extra time to refine the character's facial expressions and body movements.
Overall, this game is turning out as a good buy for me. For 3 and half hours of gameplay, including cutscenes, I'm only on Act 2 of 5. Resting up to play more tomorrow.
