What was wrong with HD-DVD in the first place? It had some good exclusive movies. Transformers, Children of Men, Matrix. etc.

The only thing wrong with HD-Dvd was the fact it had no industry support, both company and movie studios chose blu ray so really it was toshiba VS. the rest of the world. Picture quality was the exact same on both formats(when blu ray first came out it used MPEG 2 encoding so it didn't look that great but that has been fixed). I'm glad that the "war " is over so prices should drop on everything, and i can stop buying movies on three different formats(dvd, blu-ray, hd dvd).
