0Hey any of you guys here have a Kaoss Pad here preferably a Kaoss Pad 3. I'm thinking of getting one because I can't keep borrowing my Dad's Kaoss Pad 2. What's it like? Do you guys know where I can get it cheap? Remember I live in Canada so I can't come over next door to your American neighborhoods.

yeah i dont know where to get one cheap. i've never really liked using the kaoss pads because i like actually programming those sort of effects into music.. would be fun for live use but i hardly play live anymore.
Btw i think the only people on this site that actually write electronic music are me and captain.. so i'm not sure asking about this kind of stuff will get much of a response. (before you say "i write trance", do you have anything released? regarding only electronic musicians on gamer411) . 
doesnt have to be electronic music.. Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead uses a Kaoss Pad on albums (KidA, Insomniac) and implements it in live shows to great effect. esp. on Thom Yorkes vocals which get patched through to it. I have witnessed the Kaoss Pad used with stunning effect by him at their gigs.
Johnny greenwood also writes electronic music. Either way, sodum is refering to electronic music when he asks about this stuff, thats why i responded as such.
Well no I don't have anything releases because I'm not ready for that stuff yet. But sadly don't record the stuff onto my computer either. I'm really low budget. I wanted to get turntables but I got barely any money to afford them. I've been trying to hook up my stuff to my computer but my cheap audio program (audacity) doesn't reconize. I need to look more into it. Yes I use audacity, I don't know how to midi everything up sadly. But what can I say, I'm really low budget and Cubase is just too expensive.
Sorry for my confusing reference.. I wasn't really asking you if u had anything released. Was just mentioning captain and I are the only 2 full/part time electronic musicians around gamer411 that i know of.

saw a video on youtube, it looks like something great, you could always try ebay, everything's cheap on ebay
That's what I'm thinking. The shipping is pretty cheap also. I could save around $30-40CAN. Since the CAN dollas is higher, I could get it even cheaper. Before I think of anything, I gotta get the funds. Around $450 CAN in total

found some information for you regarding midi for the KP3. Apparently, when you do decide to figure out how to midi it up to your setup, you will most likely have problems getting anything to work. It seems a lot of people are having problems installing anything for the KP3 on both mac and win systems. Firmware updates on the KP3 and driver software and whatever dont help either.just thought you should know.. you might wanna wait on buying it until korg has this sorted out.
I don't really fiddle around with midi all that much main because I'm not familiar with it.
