"When Bungie announced the release date of Halo 3, many raised their eyebrows when they learned that the game will be released in Novem…er, September.

Prior to the Halo 3 release date announcement, every Halo fan, as well as specialized publications, considered a fact that the third game in the series would launch some time in November—as did the two previous installments: Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2.

I refuse to believe Bungie was so comfortable with the development of Halo 3 that it let Microsoft know the game would be ready a couple of months earlier. If there’s something all developers love to have is more time to polish and fine tune their games…and it happens that “more” is never enough in game development.

Most of the time, it is the publisher that imposes some sort of deadline for developers to meet, and only a few game developers enjoy the “when it’s done” blank check.

Yes, unthinkable options is correct.

Its quite simple really, they want to release the game, its ready, why the heck not release it?

This whole 'more' is never enough in game development is true to a degree but at the end of the day the devs and publishers wanna get paid, the devs wanna see their game out there and being enjoyed and the devs wanna move on to their next game.

Intentionally pushed forward? rubbish
